Our team is a small creative team. We encourage working prototypes for both hardware and software development for our designers. Many of the products are either stayed in R&D or still in development. Our focus is on AI hardware and software experience (Copilot, Copilot + PCs), Human-AI Interaction, and Cloud products (Windows App and Win 365).

Design System
I turn “what if…” into “look at this!”—fast. Most of my work focuses on complex, cross-functional projects—crafting UX and flows, and tokenizing assets for smooth dev handoffs. But I love rapid prototyping and showing short demo videos to my team to get feedback and generate excitment.

Design System
I design and ship complex B2B products. I work on projects with ambiguity, and can lead design efforts from early discovery through implementation. My work range from UX designing, rapid and advanced prototyping, to Design System building within W+D's AI and Cloud Experience team.

Windows App allows you to connect to Windows from all major platforms, which means you can boot to Windows from macOS, iPadOS, Android, and even browsers.

My role spanned end-to-end product design: from building a design system based on Fluent System and a token library for designers and engineers, to prototyping and refining key micro-interactions and user flows. I also collaborated with Microsoft’s Brand team to help direct the sizzle video and design marketing assets for the App Store.
UX Flows
I contributed to the UX of Windows App and Cloud PC experiences, working from 0 to 1 as part of a very lean design team, in close collaboration with UX Research, PM, and Engineering partners.

From early product conversations to handoff and iterative refinement, I helped shape core user journeys—including the Bluetooth connection flow for Cloud PCs, first-run and connection experiences, notification handling, and adapting the Windows App across macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and web clients.
Design system
Together with the team, I helped define a new visual language based on Fluent Design System—crafted to feel softer and lighter than what currently exists in Windows 11. I was the main Design System Designer who led the creation and refinement of key UI components, including cards, buttons, menus, panels, and toasts, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across the product.
This comprehensive set of design tokens support reusability and scalability—enabling quick updates in design and simplifying integration for our engineering team.
Prototyping
I prototyped key user flows using Figma to quickly iterate and communicate ideas. For more complex scenarios—such as cross-device interactions (mobile to PC), software-hardware connectivity, and motion design—I used Protopie to simulate real-world behavior and guide implementation with high fidelity.
Story Telling and Visual Design
Beyond UX, I helped craft the visual storytelling for our product. I created compositions using our UI assets and collaborated with the Fluent Design team to develop 3D visuals for App Store assets and illustrations for the OOBE and First Run Experience. I worked closely with a visual designer to iterate on composition and style, using Cinema 4D and Blender to generate quick 3D concepts. Once aligned, the Visual Design team took these directions into production, resulting in a cohesive set of polished, narrative-driven illustrations.
Work highlight
While much of my work remains in R&D, here are a few key highlights of what I’ve designed, shipped, and contributed to—spanning cross-platform experiences, design systems, and future-facing AI integrations.
WAPP Mobile CUA
Product Lead, UX, Agent Design
A perfect marriage of Cloud and AI, this experience allows users to delegate tasks to an AI agent (Computing Using Agent) to remotely perfom tasks on Cloud PCs—directly from their mobile device. I co-owned this project alongside two designers, a UX researcher, and a PM. The experience has been patented, presented to leadership, and well-received by Microsoft executives. It is now in the process of being incorporated into the broader Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem.
Windows App Main UX
Our team and I designed and optimized the experience of Windows on the cloud and boot to Windows Cloud experience. My focus areas included user flows, error handling, troubleshooting, onboarding, and the in-session experience across platforms. I also served as the sole visual design system designer, creating and tokenizing reusable components to ensure design consistency and efficient implementation.
Apple Client Dashboard
UI, Design System
Working alongside two other designers, I helped design the dashboard experience for macOS and iPadOS by extending our design tokens and adapting them to Apple’s native frameworks. The goal was to make the experience feel familiar on Apple devices while maintaining the core identity of the Windows App. By aligning with Apple’s design conventions and leveraging native components, we significantly reduced development time without compromising brand consistency.
Notification System
UX, Design System
I led the end-to-end design of the notification system to help users manage alerts, errors, and updates with clarity. This included designing a Notification Center on the dashboard, creating logic for error and warning handlings, and crafting toast notifications with various states across both Apple and Windows clients. The system was built to be scalable and visually consistent while respecting platform-specific patterns.
OOBE/FRE
Visuals, UI
I designed the onboarding and first run experience to ensure a smooth, welcoming transition—especially for users migrating from Azure Virtual Desktop. I created a cross-platform flow spanning mobile, tablet, and desktop, along with supporting illustrations to clearly communicate that Windows App is the new central hub. This work included onboarding screens, permission handling, and contextual education moments, all crafted to guide users with clarity and set the tone for the broader product experience.
Meta Quest Launch Support
Visuals
I supported the Windows App launch on Meta Quest during Meta’s 2024 announcement, which allows users to access their ultimate productivity platform - Windows. Users will soon be able to access volumetric Windows apps directly from their headset. For the launch, I helped craft visual storytelling and designed key assets for the Meta App Store.
UX Optimization for Purpose-Built Devices
UX
I designed and optimized the user experience for booting Windows on purpose-built devices like Windows 365 Link. This work included power management for cloud-connected devices, Bluetooth device pairing, onboarding flows, and troubleshooting experiences.
Windows App Brand
Visuals
I led the creation of the Windows App brand book, defining a cohesive visual identity across platforms. The brand system consists of three key elements:

The Windows App icon designed for Windows and cross-platform clients.

A visual design guideline, developed in collaboration with the Microsoft Brand team, to ensure consistent brand usage across surfaces.

A design slidedeck template system for internal teams, enabling on-brand design across presentations.
